Bringing you good news of joy, my friends!

Joy is more than just a feeling of excitement, or elation. Joy is a special delivery gift from God, delivered into our very souls by the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. He always keeps our joy larder full; it is just up to us to tap into it.

We can't look to others to bring our joy. They can, in fact bring glad moments. but the joy we must find within ourselves. We are never without it, even when we think there is no joy to be found. So we must understand what joy truly is, and how we can capture it.

There are two things we need to remember about joy. It is not only a blessing available to us every second of our lives, but it is, secondly, something we are required to share with others, so others will know and see Jesus Christ in us. And believe.

Galatians 5:22-23.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  Against such things there is no law.

JOY FACTS

Jesus Christ is only our joy.
He lives within every believer, always.
The Holy Spirit guides us to His joy daily.
It is our privilege to receive and enjoy that joy.
His joy stands ready, waiting for us.
It is our choice to accept or reject that joy.
We can't look to others for our joy
Joy is not influenced by things of the earth.

We mix up being happy with being filled with joy. These are two different things. Joy is a treasure hunt, within ourselves.  We must seek it with all our hearts, no matter what is happening around us. When we turn to Jesus Christ, seeking Him [joy] we will reap the benefits immediately. We may not feel it in the flesh, so we must believe. We need to seek joy, grab hold and hang on to it. Make it an "open door policy" between Jesus and ourselves.

Luke 12:3. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

It's when we take our eyes of Jesus that we lose sight of joy. We forget our way back, and get lost on the dusty roads of life. Our remembrance of joy is diminished. Jesus told us we would always have troubles, but not to be dismayed, for He is with always - always. Look for the joy, by turning our eyes upon Jesus.  Amen.

JOY IN THE MORNING with Sunny Rowe

2 Corinthians 2:15
For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among
those who are being saved and among those
who are perishing.

Throughout history, we find times of conflict and real struggle. We see the misery among the peoples, because of the choices they make. And, while we may not have made those particular choices, we are instructed of God to be of good heart and cheer, in His presence, throughout all the struggles.

Nowhere can I find His Word that we are to be downcast, anxious or afraid because of the circumstances around us.  Rather we find Him continually reminding us to cleave unto Him, and find His joy in our circumstances. Once again, the choice is ours.

Let us find our restoration in Him today, one step at a time. That's where we will find our joy.

Blessings of Joy, My friends!
